The Albanian Besa Capital (ABC) Foundation supported the organization of the event “Skrapari in a Glass” with grant funding. This initiative, led by the Municipality of Skrapar, aims to promote the region’s agricultural, artisanal, and cultural products while fostering local economic development and rural tourism.

Held in the town of Çorovodë, the event brought together local producers and artisans – including women, youth, and rural entrepreneurs – who had the opportunity to showcase and sell their traditional products, promote skills and crafts passed down through generations, and establish new business collaborations.

Project Purpose and Objectives
The main goal of this project is to promote Skrapar’s agricultural products and tourism offerings, contributing to increased employment and economic development in the area.

Specific objectives include:
• Increasing the visibility of the region and its agrotourism offerings;
• Creating new and more sustainable markets for local producers;
• Encouraging small and family-run entrepreneurship in agriculture, handicrafts, and tourism;
• Raising awareness for the preservation of cultural and natural heritage;
• Strengthening cooperation between institutions, producers, and the local community.

The Importance of ABC Foundation Support
The financial support of ABC Foundation was essential for the successful implementation of this event. The funding ensured the necessary logistical and organizational resources for the fair, including exhibition spaces, promotional materials, and more.

Through this support, ABC Foundation emphasizes the importance of collaboration with local authorities as a tool for promoting sustainable local development with lasting social and economic impact.

By backing initiatives like this, ABC Foundation contributes to the preservation of local traditions, encourages entrepreneurship among women and youth, and supports the development of rural areas with high agrotourism potential.

The Albanian Besa Capital Foundation, as part of its mission to strengthen the microfinance sector in Albania, has decided to financially support the Albanian Microfinance Association through a grant aimed at enhancing its institutional capacities and improving its infrastructure.

This financial support will enable the furnishing of the Association’s new workspaces, which will serve as a functional center for activities related to the development of the microfinance sector in the country. These premises will provide a suitable space for organizing trainings, meetings with partners, institutional representatives, and beneficiaries, directly contributing to increased efficiency and institutional cooperation. This support will further strengthen the role of the Association as a collaborative and sustainable platform in the development of the microfinance sector in Albania.

This grant is part of ABC Foundation's commitment to supporting initiatives that reinforce the infrastructure and sustainability of key players in microfinance, in function of long-term social and financial inclusion.

In the framework of 2025 grant program, the Albanian Besa Capital (ABC) Foundation has made a significant contribution to promoting and empowering women’s entrepreneurship focused on social business, by supporting projects that directly impact the improvement of women's social and economic status in Albania.

One of the winning projects in this field is “ART TOURISM”, which is being implemented in Kukës region by the National Association for Integration, Development, and Support for Vulnerable Groups “SH.K.I.ZH.” This project aims to train and empower 15 women artisans from the municipalities of Kukës, Has, and Tropoja, helping them transform traditional craftsmanship into a sustainable source of income and a tool for self-employment.

The importance of ABC’s support:
The financial support provided by the ABC Foundation for this project represents not only an investment in women’s capacities but also a sustainable strategy for developing the social economy in some of the most marginalized areas of the country. Through this support:

• The role of women as active social entrepreneurs is strengthened;
• Albanian cultural and artisanal heritage is promoted and preserved;
• The development of artisanal tourism is encouraged as part of a sustainable local economy.

Project impact:
The women participating in the implementation of the project gain new professional skills in the field of craftsmanship, enhance their management and business entrepreneurship abilities, boost self-confidence, build cooperative networks, and break free from economic isolation. The local community benefits from the revitalization of artisanal traditions, while tourists enrich their cultural experience in the region. This project serves as a model for increasing women’s economic independence through alternative development forms, aligned with the strategic priorities of the Albanian Besa Capital Foundation.

Fondacioni ABC ofron në kuadër të projektit SKILLS4MSEs trajnimin "Si të hartojmë një Plan Biznesi".

Fondacion ABC njofton të gjithë të interesuarit se më datë 23 Prill 2021 do të organizojë në qytetin e Shëngjinit, Lezhë trajnimin “Gjenerimi i ideve të biznesit”.

Në kuadër të Projektit SKILLS4MSEs, gjatë studimit në lidhje me identifikimin e nevojave për trajnim të sipërmarrësve mikro dhe të vegjël, dolën në pah një sërë nevojash prioritare për trajnim.

Fondacioni ABC kreu një studim me qëllim identifikimin e nevojave për trajnim të sipërmarrësve aktualë dhe atyre potencialë.

Projekti skills4MSEs synon të trainojë sipërmarrësit ekzistues dhe ato të mundshëm të ndërmarrjeve mikro dhe të vogla (MSEs) në mënyrë që të përfitojnë kompetencat dhe aftësitë e nevojshme në mjedisin aktual të biznesit.
