Phase III of the “ART TOURISM” Project Successfully Concludes at the Tirana Castle!
On October 17, 2025, the Tirana Castle was filled with colors, tradition, and art during the closing exhibition of the “ART TOURISM” project, an initiative implemented by the National Association for Integration, Development, and Assistance for Vulnerable Groups and financially supported by Albanian Besa Capital (ABC) Foundation, under the program “Financial Support for Women’s Entrepreneurship with a Focus on Social Business.”
This final phase showcased months of work by 15 women artisans from the Kukës region, who, after receiving professional training and support through the project, presented unique handcrafted works – carpets, wall hangings, and other traditional products – reflecting heritage, craftsmanship, and valuable cultural significance.
The exhibition attracted hundreds of local and international visitors, becoming a vibrant space where craftsmanship, culture, and tourism came together to promote Albanian values and the creative potential of women.
✨ The “ART TOURISM” project remains a success story of how traditional craftsmanship and cultural tourism can be intertwined to create new opportunities, preserve cultural identity, and promote sustainable development in social enterprises.
The funding from ABC Foundation for the “ART TOURISM” project demonstrates that investing in women’s talent and skills generates lasting social and economic impact – an inspiring model of collaboration between the nonprofit sector and local stakeholders.
Albanian Besa Capital Foundation is proud to support projects that foster women’s economic empowerment, preserve cultural heritage, and contribute to the sustainable development of local communities.
